Mariana Ramos is the Executive Director of the Pacific Alliance for  Sustainable Tuna, a group focused on sustainability and corporate social  responsibility whose members represent more than 90% of the Mexican canned tuna  industry. Before serving in this role, Ms. Ramos served in various positions  within the Mexican Ministry of Economy, specifically working on regional and  multilateral trade matters including those related to OEDC and WTO. She was  also part of the team responsible for negotiation strategies for Mexico’s trade  and commercial agreements. 
                    
                  In  addition to leading the Alliance, Ms. Ramos is a member of the Mexican  Delegation at regional and international fisheries and tuna conferences,  representing the private sector.  
                   
                    She  works with regularly with the Mexican federal government to advance Mexico’s  leadership in sustainable fishing. 
                    
Lic. Ramos is a sought after speaker and tuna industry expert and was  featured at the international Conference of Parties Summit on Biodiversity (COP  2016) in December.
